Slippery when wet

I have been wanting to get a pair of these for years. I finally purchased a pair. The first trip out in them was on a 12 mile adventure race. They are comfortable and held up nicely. I did however slip and fall on some wet rocks twice traveling through a large mountain drainage. This is the first time I have an ever slipped and completely went down. I was hoping the contra grip would be better than the vibram. The vibram is a little sketchy on slick rocks as well. The is a paper crackley sound in the toe box when walking. I assume it is the goretex?? Either way it sounds a little cheap to me. They are comfortable and my feet felt fine after a 7 hour 12 mile adventure race so happy for that. Hopefully the will last me a good while.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for your feedback! We're sorry to hear about the discomfort around your large toe when lacing up. We'd recommend visiting one of our partner stores where our staff can help find a model with a wider toe box better suited to your foot shape. You're also welcome to return them free of charge as long as they haven't been used outside. We hope we can find the right fit for you!

Great shoe with a few minor setbacks!

I am fairly new into the hike shoe/boot and had my eyes set on the ultra 360. I had seen multiple reviews of people who had been using Salomon shoes and loving the previous models, with that being said I still recommend these shoes, there are just a few minor setbacks. The first being when I got them the heel portion of the shoe didn’t feel great on my first few hikes. It felt a little to narrow for my feet, this seems to be a fully subjective experience because I haven’t heard anyone complain about this happening to them. The other issue/setback is the Gore-Tex, I saw a few complaints online about not being breathable at all, and have to say they were right. If your looking for a breathable shoe, your in the wrong place. I live in Michigan and am writing this review in April (I have only had the shoes for amount 2 months) and it has been fairly chilly outside so I have not used these in hot or even warms conditions. With that being said I value them being more water resistant than breathable. I still would fully recommend the shoes. After the first few hikes and breaking them in they are very comfortable and roomy in the toe box. Overall don’t regret the purchase!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Super comfortable with weird popping noise

These boots look great and are super comfortable. There is a weird popping/clicking noise when walking. Seems to come from the innards of the toe box from the materials bending when the toe box is flexed. Hopefully it goes away when they get worn in and doesn’t drive me crazy when on hikes.

No, I do not recommend this product.

These boots are quite good. Previously owned the X ULTRA 3 GTX and these seemed like the most similar, more so than the now 5 or even 4. The comfort level is on par, time will tell on the durability. Other reviewers are complaining of noise, if that's a concern, sure. It's a hiking boot, not sure what they want. Can't make everyone happy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I love all of my Salomon boots.

I were all my boots for work in a security capacity. It says a lot about a shoe if you can where them for a 13.5 hour shift on your feet the entire time and not experience and Y foot or back pain. A true testament to the product.

Yes, I recommend this product.
