Love the shoe, not a fan of the quicklaces

I had previous versions of these shoes and as with the previous models, the shoes are great. Very comfortable in long hiking trips, great traction, nice water resistance and light weight. The only major problem is the quicklace sytem. It has consitently been the failure point in previous versions of this shoe so I'm prepared to the fact that in all likelihood the laces will stop holding tight and possibly break altogether in the next couple of years. I really wish there was a version with regular laces.

Stability shoe leaning more towards a hiker

High stability, rigid sole, low cushion. Takes a week or so to break in. Built to last a long time in challenging terrain. Only time will tell how long the waterproofing lasts.

Solomon designed a manufacturing defect into the cheap lacing plastic system that breaks easily when cinching. Check out other reviews with the same problem BEFORE you buy!

8 Month Shoe at Most

Decent shoe but after 8 months of light usage the insole had deformed and the left shoe was too uncomfortable to wear. Salomon told me that was "normal usage - so they told me the shoe is not expected to last more than a few months.
