very rugged design for tough trails, waterproof yet remains very breathable, they were also quick to break in, I got it one day before my trip and they feel so comfy to walk in right away

I bought these for my other half and at first he wasn't sure about them but after wearing them for a few hours he absolutely LOVES THEM. He likes how they conformed to his feet. Super comfy and perfect size! Will purchase again.

Great shoe, weird fit

I have worn XA Pro 3d for the last 15+ years. I've gone through over a dozen pairs. I have not been happy with the V9, so I decided to try these. The shoe is very stable and fits my needs perfectly (everyday wear that I can hit shorter trails in). However, the toe box is shorter and narrower than the XApro 3d. My toes were ramming the front of the shoe all weekend. Maybe try a size up or a wide version.

Quality of shoe good, poor comfort

The information said it was for wide foot, however, issue is not. It’s just like a standard shoe, however, more bulky on the sides of your foot/ankle. Not a very comfortable shoe that I would expect to pay for this price.

Comf but needs improvement in internal desigb

Love the shoes. Exterior is very beautiful. But inner flap is disappointing. When you insert your foot, the shoe flap tends to push inside. Have to pull it out. Second, the flap is stitched internally in a way that I makes it uncomfortable.
Not the quality level expected at this price point.

Quality shoes but I miss the comfort from old days

I've had the opportunity to wear these shoes a few times over the last month and I guess my expectations were pretty high because I've been wearing Solomon's for over 20 years. Just like most things, shoes aren't what they used to be. It takes time to break them in and they still aren't broken in, whereas my first, second and third pair were perfect from day one. The workmanship and quality are still there but they are not as comfortable as they used to be. I'm not sure if they ever will be comfortable again as it seems that all these advances in technology and footwear actually just make you want to wear only socks because the shoes are trying to make your foot conform to them rather than shoe conforming to your foot. If the upgrades to the shoes are supposed to make them last longer, my first pair of Solomons lasted me almost 5 years and every pair since then has worn out faster and faster. I found myself coming back to Solomon's because I have tried all the big brands and honestly all of them had turned horrible and uncomfortable and expensive with no justification because they are excruciating to wear. I have very sensitive feet and I am on my feet and active for more than 12 hours of the day so my shoes need to protect my feet and not cause any pain. So the long in the short is that they are great. They are reasonably comfortable and probably still the best out of the top brands, but a little more attention could be paid to the shoe conforming to you rather than you having to conform to the shoe. I know this is possible because Solomon could do that 20 years ago and do it better than anyone on the planet.
