Great for running, not so much for standing

Very well made shoes. They are amazing for walking/running. Feels like walking on a cloud of spring. However, I find my feet and legs start to hurt when just standing in them for a long time (I am a nurse so a lot of both walking and standing). I would return them for that reason if I could..

The best!

I am a lifelong runner and I have to admit, these shoes rock! They are cushioned, comfortable, need no break-in, and can handle the light trails of my town in Northern California. I do also run road in them. They have become my every day runner! I’ve now run more than 350 miles on them and you can hardly tell.

I have been wearing strictly Salomon for the last 3 years. I run almost every day with only about 25% being pavement so always looking for a trail like shoe. I found this one and it's perfect the support is wonderful for a heavy striker like me. I hope they keep this shoe for awhile.

Perfect shoe for mixed terrain

I love, love, love these shoes! Salomon sent them to me as part of a promotion, though when I heard “gravel,” I was skeptical. Yet, I have been so pleasantly surprised. The ride is cushioned, springy, propulsive, and fast. It has become my favorite daily driver!

Overall, great shoe but runs big

Shoe is very light with great cushioning and bounce. It performs well running/walking on roads as well as on trails. I LOVE the burnt ochre color and really appreciate the robust shoestring material - always stayed tied, avoiding unnecessary stops. The only downfall is sizing as these run big. I also have narrow feet so once tied, the material puckers at the bottom of the toe box, where the laces begin. Even with thick socks, it’s a less than perfect fit, which results in some rubbing on my heels after several miles. I would try sizing down a 1/2 size next time.

Pleasantly Surprised

When I started running I watched every video and read every article about running shoes. Even then I just didn’t feel “connected” with my shoes. Some runs felt harder than others and I didn’t feel I was meeting my capability. Then came the Salomon Aero Glides..the first trip out with them I jogged unsure of how I would feel. I had Salomon’s mostly for hiking and fashion so running I figured was the best next avenue. I am beyond glad I did! The jog was so smooth I changed to a run. My feet didn’t ache there was no real break in time needed. Now I do about 4miles minimum and 8miles max. I’m no expert runner and I will say these shoes though helped me continue to love my run journey and really connect. If you have been debating on a pair of Salomon running shoes do it and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. As far as sizing I sized up as usual with most running shoes and it worked for me as I use a different sock thickness to run.
