Great shoe

I bought these as a hiking shoe, because I prefer lighter shoes than a heavier boot. I was a little worried when I initially ordered these because I prefer a wider toe box even though my feet aren’t super wide. My toes just like to spread out especially after a few hours of hiking. It’s been a little while since I bought any Solomon shoes, so I was interested to see how it work out. So they are pretty comfortable right out of the box. The width across the toes, while not generous, is adequate. No rubbing of my pinky toe. I love the stability in the heel especially on uneven surfaces and downhills. The traction is awesome on these, almost like a rubbery, sticky cleat. The Gortex upper kept my feet dry in long wet grass, but gets a bit hot if it’s a warm day. Overall, I’m pleased with these. They’ll get lots of wear on day hikes, especially in the fall when it’s cooler and the foliage is bursting.

Awesome shoe

I have been buying this shoe for the last 10 years at least. Great fit for me...I have high arches, narrow heel. This shoe reminds me of the fit of spikes that I wore in track in Jr High School. Great comfort, wears well.

I’ve owned four pairs of Salomon shoes, and the Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX stands out with exceptional performance. The traction on wet and loose terrain is unmatched, and the GORE-TEX waterproofing keeps feet completely dry in tough conditions. Extremely comfortable straight out of the box with great support. I'm a loyal fan of Salomon and this model truly represents their best quality.

This is my 5th pair of speed cross 6 in size 7.5, but first with the gore-tex, and they definitely fit smaller. I am returning for a size 8.

My wife wore out her previous Solomon speed cross 6gtx on her daily hikes. She said that she loved the fit and style so I was happy to find her a new pair.

Hiking the Camino

Absolutely love my gore Tex hiking trail shoes.
I did the Camino last September either my first pair, no blisters, great feeling to wear and felt safe on them
In May I wore them in Croatia, and back to Spain.
Loved them so much my husband got a pair and so did my son.
My 2nd pair for my second Camino next week!

Amazing trail shoe!

I bought this for my Bigfoot 20 miler in Washington. I was going into this race with a bad case of plantar fasciitis and then I was supposed to help crew my friend who is running the 200 mile. I was very anxious about doing this because of the pain in my foot. I tried these shoes for the first time for this trip and was very impressed that I only did my pain not get worse, but it actually seemed to get better.
