My Favorite Running Shoe

I have been wearing Salomon speedcross shoes for at least 15 years and remain loyal to this day. They are without a doubt the most stable and supportive shoe for trail running and backpacking. The traction is excellent and the sole is thick enough to protect your feet from sharp rocks and fatigue from long runs. The quicklace system is one that I just can't do without since it allows me to quickly adjust the level of support I get. I do size up a half size for my running shoes compared to every day footwear and this hold true for Speedcross shoes. I need a wider toe box due to bunions and these shoes work very well without needing a wide width. My only complaint is that the colors are sometimes really odd - I love a bright colors like marigold and firefly, but some seasons they offer only really dull colors like gray and black.

Great shoe for narrow feet!

I am on my 5th pair. They are great for a long narrow foot. I only wish they made women's in 11.5 and 12. So many women with big feet and men's shoes are TOO WIDE! The extra lacing is a problem and doent stay tucked in pocket. Salomon, please figure out a way we can shorten that lace!

My favorite hiking shoes

I am an avid hiker, hiking about 20 miles of trails and steep terrain a week. These have been my go-to trail runners for years now. I've had a variety of colors. They are comfortable even though they run a bit narrow and I have a wide foot. They have great grip and easy on and off, love having no laces

Best all terrain hiking shoe

I’ve worn these on hundreds of trails around the U.S. all different terrain. They make me feel very confident on loose gravel, rocks, mud. I hike through water and the dry fast. I’ve never had a blister. I considered trying something new but here I am buying new speedcross 6! Here are my old pair I got about 4 years ago.
