Based on a legacy of iconic X Ultra shoes, it delivers all-terrain grip, stability and protection, however you choose to adventure. Featuring a cushioned midsole for kilometer-defying comfort, waterproof Gore-Tex protection and a robust textile upper made from recycled materials.

Advanced Chassis technology embedded in the outsole provides lateral support and protection while allowing optimal mobility and flexibility.
The Contagrip outsole delivers dependable traction and durability on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces for confident all-terrain performance.
An upper constructed with 50% recycled materials and a midsole containing 8% recycled electrical cables reduces environmental impact.
EnergyCell EVA foam in the midsole attenuates shock and impacts, ensuring responsive cushioning for comfortable hiking over long distances.

My first hiking shoe

Prior to purchasing this shoe, I've only hiked in regular sneakers, so I did some research on what to look for in the hiking shoes and wanted to find a good deal for my first pair. I think these are really comfortable and I love that they don't have laces. They have great grip and my micro spikes fit over them without issue. I've enjoyed hiking this winter and look forward to more adventures this year.

I have now bought about 6 pairs...I absolutely love this shoe...I wear them everyday to walk my pups and I hike in the Adirondack mountains with them...I use to only hike in boots but these have changed that entirely....they fit me sooo well....please never discontinue this shoe!!

I recently purchased the Salomon X ULTRA 360 GTX WOMEN'S, and overall, I really like these shoes. They are comfortable, provide good support, and perform well for hiking. However, one key drawback is the elastic Quicklace system. Unlike traditional laces, these cannot be manually tied, which limits how tightly you can secure the shoessomething particularly important for hiking. Additionally, the elastic laces feel somewhat fragile and seem like they might lose elasticity over time. Regular laces tend to be stronger and more durable, so I'd love to see future models with an option for traditional laces, as found in other Salomon designs. Despite this, the shoes are great in terms of fit, grip, and waterproofing. If Salomon improves the lacing system, they would be even better!

Good but not the women's Ultra w40

I have worn the Salomon Ultra w40 for years for hiking and walking and can wear them all day. Love the way they fit my narrow foot. Could not find them anywhere so ordered the X Ultra 360 and have mixed feelings. Love the fit BUT the hard toe protector has been agony to wear. I'm going to wear the shoes a little at a time to try to break them in more. Are you no longer making the Ultra w40???
