Great shoes for beginner or intermediate runners

Bought these shoes five months ago to start training I’m on my road back to marathon running. I have worn Saucony for years in various forms and have completed many runs in distances up to the full marathon, Ironman triathlons and even one 80km Ultramarathon. Unlike some companies, Saucony’s primary focus is on running shoes. Full stop.
After a few years of doing SFA, I needed to get my body moving for health and well-being and of course, went immediately back to Saucony for my running needs. These shoes were actually less expensive than many pairs that I have bought in the past and I figured what a great way to get back into running with a relatively inexpensive pair. Figured I’d probably but. Through them pretty quickly and need to purchase a new pair or possibly a pair with better support as I got my distance back up.
I am now 4 weeks out from my goal race: my first half marathon in over a decade and still loving these shoes. The support is there, they haven’t broken down at all, and the soles are in good shape. Not sure about some of the reviews complaining about the insoles, I don’t find that they move at all and are just fine.
The traction on these are pretty good. I most run on pavement/asphalt but do go on gravel and packed dirt trails and they provide sufficient traction to give me assurance that I won’t bail on the gravel. The mesh allows for breathability of the foot and quick drying.
Overall good bang for the buck, especially if you can get them on sale. I saw that they were on sale this week and bought two more pairs to take me past my half and to my next goal: a full distance marathon before returning to the world of triathlon again.

I purchased the Cohesion 18 shoes about six weeks ago to use for walking and jogging up to about four miles. The Cohesion is comfortable. It has a well designed heel bevel. The curvature at the ball of the foot and toes provides a good rocker to push you forward. The raised rubber edges supply some helpful guidance on this neutral shoe without being noticeable. My only complaint is that the rubber material for the base is quite hard and does little to absorb impact. With so many softer options it would be great if Saucony could upgrade this one weakness while retaining a very inviting price point. Overall, good job!

Purchased these to replace another Saucony pair (with the power run tech).... these are very comfortable but the soles are not comparable for cushioning... they are already feeling spent with less than 6 miles of moderate use.... very disappointed

If you enjoy getting blisters on the first run this is the shoes for you! Very uncomfortable and cheap. Do not buy. Returned instantly.
