No Speed Limit
First, a word about the shoes digging into your heel. It's true, but it's temporary. I had to wear band-aids on my heels for the first four runs or so. After that, the shoes adapted to my foot and I can run without any discomfort.
These shoes are fast. Earlier this year I bought a pair of Saucony Guide 18 shoes and, while comfortable, were slow as heck. I could not break the built-in speed limit they imposed on me. The Endorphin Pro 5's are just the opposite: they reward every extra Watt with more speed. I recently broke my 10K PR without a lot of extra effort.
These are exactly the shoes I needed to encourage me to improve my performance.

A good shoe if you wear the right socks
A good shoe with a balance of stability and performance but, it really messed up the back of my heels because I apparently wore the wrong socks? I wore them in a few runs with no issues but during the marathon, it rubbed a lot on the back of my heels. I have never in my life had a pair of shoes that messed with the back of my heels so I sort of ignored the other complaints about this. Avoid ankle socks and it's probably a great shoe.

Amazing

Bought these to decide if I would wear them or the Elite 3’s for the marathon. These made it a tough call! They are light and smooth and have amazing rebound.

Great tempo shoes!

Great shoes but a bit firmer than the Endorphin Elite 3. Still great for tempo runs.

These just dig into my heel terribly. I’ve race the previous years shoes in two marathons and loved them. These were a huge miss

Achilles blisters
Just have others have mentioned, these tore up my Achilles. It’s too bad because they would be a great, stable race shoe without this design flaw. For me, it made them unwearable.
