    Great piece of gear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to have easy access to trail maps while skiing (attached to a carabiner with a stretchy coil) and it's working great! It fits a little smaller than a standard sheet of paper so have to trim down printed maps but not a big deal. I don't even both to try to zip lock the end because it's really hard to do but if you don't need your contents to be waterproof they stay snuggly inside. It doesn't seem like it from the pics but it is super flexible and can be rolled up and folded, the ends being a bit more stiff, but can fit easily in a medium pocket. 10/10 would buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry, but this pouch isn't suitable for anyone over 5 feet 8 inches tall as the string that goes around one's neck is too short. Who wants to carry the pouch right in front of them on their stomach. It only gets in the way and makes one look like a refugee with a large name tag. First think I have to do is replace the string with a long shoelace. Works better going over one's shoulder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2nd time I used this was during a weekend hike where we endured several inches of rain. It was very helpful for the maps but did not keep them completely dry.

I waited a long time for this product to be in stock. It works very well. Easy to read through, easy to bend, very functional. I have not tried it in the cold, still bends. I have not tried it on a very sunny day yet.

Quality construction. Small was a little small for my needs. Returned and opted for the medium.

Appears to be a good quality product, I will know more once I get out in the field for a while.

I bought this product to replace a 30+ year old map case that finally needed to be retired. I use the map case for hiking and jeeping trips. This case is a good size to hold a folded down Forest Service map easily, and the plastic is crystal clear. Being blessed to live in a high desert, I haven't tested it's waterproof qualities :) The two things that make me score it 4/5 are 1. The neck strap is very short. The top of the map case ends up at chest level which renders it useless (other than for carrying). I would prefer to have it across my body and hanging around hip level so I can carry & consult it with ease. An extra 18" would be ideal. 2. The zip lock seal is too good. I find it extremely difficult to pry it apart when I need to take the map out at the end of the day.

We've been expedition racing with these cases for the past couple of years, and they have never let us down. Great seal and pliable plastic enables us to carry it comfortably for hours (or days). It's super durable and remains clear and readable despite some heavy abuse.
