I needed something with more cushion this time because I'm hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland next week and my plantar fasciitis flared. These socks are absolutely fantastic. They are 100% worth the money. I've owned multiple pairs over the last 12 years and smart wool continues to improve on them. They were great to start with and they're even better today. I primarily use them as lounge socks.

I have bought other socks, but these Smart Wool Mountaineering socks are amazing. The thick soles are both a nice insulation and very comfortable. I wear them all the time.
