    Incredibly comfortable and durable

I own five pairs of these now and live in them all winter long. I have extremely sensitive skin and can find it challenging to find fabrics that feel comfortable. With my first pair I was worried this would be an issue as it's wool, however I now own five pairs, haha. It has not been an issue and I will even use them as long underwear without any irritation. I find them very durable and have owned some pairs almost a year now with regular wear and wash and no issues. They still look and wear great. I wash regular or heavy duty cycle with cool water and on new dryers use low heat, with older dryers I use permanent press. I have run a 5k race in these alone, and they worked, yet started to loosen up by the end of the race. A quick wash and dry had them back into shape in no time, yet I very much prefer them as a cozy lounge around home piece or under other pants or leggings when running. They're not great as a stand alone piece for vigorous exercise, which is fair, I like to test limits. Yet again, even when under leggings, there is no irritation from the fabric, just cozy warmth. I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE these thermal bottoms so much.

I live in northern Canada where is easily sits at -40C. I wore these base layers pants under my snow pants and flew in a small plane to several small, remote communities. It kept me warm and dry.

Was really excited about the fun pattern of these and to have merino bottoms. Unfortunately the lack of any elastic or drawstring means these are constantly falling down. Sadly a letdown.

I have switched all my base layer, socks and glove liners to smartwool. By far the best I've used.

Soft, cozy, good if its not too cold. I would have liked it more but it falls down even though it fits. I would have liked a higher waist that protects my lower back more. Also would have liked a heavier weight.

Used it for snowboarding and it's great. Second pair I have gotten from this company because I liked them so much

Great base layer for skiing and very comfortable. Breathable and doesn't look like a base layer so easy to go somewhere after skiing! Went skiing in lower than -20 degree Celsius weather and had these bottoms and snow pants and wasn't cold.
