Sorel Women's Ella II Two Strap Slides/Sandals, Casual, Walking

These are really really cute and give a cool accent to almost any casual outfit, but they're appropriately named because they do "slide" a bit. I really love them and they're very sturdy and good quality, and they add a smart punch to a lot of casual dresses and pants that make the overall look a little more put-together than the usual sandals you see down here in south Florida. However, they are just a tiny bit "slippery" to wear. Do you remember the original Dr. Scholl's exercise sandals with the wooden sole and gold buckle that were so popular back in the '70s? They supposedly strengthened and toned your legs because youhad to grip them with your toes when you walked. These Sorels fit sort of like that, where I have to kind of grip the sole with my toes to keep from sliding out of them because the straps don't fit tightly enough. However, the more I wear them, the more comfortable they are getting and the less effort I have to put into keeping them from sliding. Re sizing: I am usually 9.5 in regular shoes and 9 in sandals. I ordered these in 9.5 because Sorel's Ella II elastic strap sandals fit me perfectly in 9.5. However, those are elasticized and much more snug than these. If I order these slides in another color I think I would size down to 9 and maybe I wouldn't have the sliding problem because the straps would be somewhat tighter. In these, the 9.5 is the perfect length for my foot - but I ordered the new Ella Roaming Easy Slide in a 9 and their length is also perfect for my foot, so in these slides if the straps were just a bit tighter in the 9.5 the fit probably would be spot on. If you have wide feet, stick with your usual size or go half a size up as other reviewers have suggested, but in my opinion if your feet are narrow or regular width I would suggest your normal size, erring on the low end.

super cute and comfy, perfect neutral sandal that you can dress up or down, but 99% of the time I'm an 8.5 and I had to size up to a 9 in these and the 9's fit perfectly.

I had difficulty choosing the size because other reviews on sorel slides said they run small. My foot size is 7.5 wide. I wear size 8 for any Nike shoes. For this slide, size 8.5 fitted nicely. The slide itself is really comfortable. Glad I got this!

I am so happy that I purchased these sandals. I purchased these in black. I did have to size up a half of size due to my experience with a pair of prior sandals that I had to return. Their sizes seem to be too small. I am a size 7 and purchased them in size 7.5. Very happy I sized up.

Made really well and cute however very narrow, order up half a size if you have wider feet. I'm a 9.5wide, the ten was still a little narrow but works, hoping it will stretch out over time

The style of this sandal is so cute and neutral! Ordered the taupe/metallic in size 11. I have wide feet and after reading reviews, was going back and forth between the 11 and 12. I went with 11 and the length and width of shoe is perfect. The only issue is the sandal does tend to slide forward, and my heel hanging off the edge of the sandal. I'm hoping normal wear and tear will fix this issue.

I do have a wide foot and these sandals are too narrow. I am a 9.
