Spalding 32 Inch Rookie Gear Portable Basketball System

Bought for our 8 and 10yr old to start playing as it was their first season playing basketball and was in our budget Indeed geared more for 5 to 7yr olds but our youngest is short at the moment so it will do for this season. Will have to uprade to full size next year. Easy to put together, had no issues.

Works perfect for the smaller kids. Would be nice if it had another 2 ft extension to go taller. Otherwise great product, kids love it. And decent priced.

This less expensive basketball system is worth every penny. I bought it for my 5 years old and he loves it. The boar is strong but an adult will find a way to break it even though it is well enforced from the back but still it is for 4-12 or 14 years old. The system comes with a bit harder to follow instructions manual but we are 2 tiny people and were able to assemble it. The pole has 3 parts, bottom that attaches to the base then mid and top. Top has many holes (2 inch apart) to hold the backboard. You can put all three parts. I put only bottom because my son wants to dunk. The poles not thin. They are well painted and designed. The board and ring attach to a piece that attaches to the top part of the pole with 2 easy to undo screws and bolts. The board says dont hang on the ring or it can break/cause injury so we are being careful. I can fill the base but we decided to use interlock stones/bricks for weight. The ring is full size so any small or big basketball will work. We have a size 4 youth ball. Overall good value for the money, works for young kids 4-12 maybe better, doesnt break if you are careful and it can be lowered so can fit in basements as well.

Excellent product, sturdy and adjustable for smaller kids. My 8 yo loves it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Set up was easy and my three boys loved it. They're aged 2, 5, and 8 and love to shoot hoops because the net isn't full size. A full size net is a little beyond them at the moment. The net can be raised as the boys grow or for my 8 year old when he plays alone. This is a great little investment for those future basketball stars.
