My son loves the jacket. We've had these jackets before. Very warm, good on their own to about -5, last one lasted 4 years through 2 kids and was still in great shape. Not cheap, but great quality. Fits well under a rain jacket for cold spring mud.

This is not a stand alone winter jacket even though it is sold as a winter jacket for boys. It is likely one of the best mid layers that North Face sells for boys however, we spent hours looking for the matching shell to make this a winter coat. (In case you bought this and need the shell like us, it’s called a Mountain Parka mix and match).
