Sizing confusion

I originally ordered a large, which I thought would be equivalent to a size 14, but it arrived labeled size 12. They fit like a 10/12. I exchanged them for an extra large. The delivery was quick and the quality is great. Note that these are more of a shell snow pant, not heavily insulated. They work well for skiing here on Vancouver Island.

Runs Small

Run very small. The large North Face was smaller than the Ripzone mediums my 12 year old was currently in. He could barely get them up to his waist!

POOR QUALITY

Nice looking pants. Waterproof. However, POOR QUALITY; the pants already TORN in one play and just AFTER TWO MONTHS of just kids playing in the snow. Not what I had expected from North Face Product. I have had kids Helly Hansen which lasted for 2 seasons and never expect this with brand. I feel like North Face should have been made kids snow pants with a more durable material that can withstand kids being kids in snow.
No, I do not recommend this product.
