Perfect road-to-trail shoe

I love these shoes. This is my second pair, but the first show practically no wear after a couple hundred km on road and trail. They are soft underfoot and surprisingly responsive for that. Their durability impresses me in a world where speedgoats wither if you look at them wrong. The surface ctrl rubber is the only thing I trust as much as vibram. I bought them to leave at the office for a run loop that requires quite a bit of pavement to get to some hilly forest paths. I ended up burning through a 10k personal best on the road in these. I just really enjoy how these feel when you pick up the speed. One caveat there: they are not my most stable shoe, so I tend to save the real speedwork for less technical trail. I have the 500 as well, which is a great recovery shoe, and plenty capable, but even less stable for me.
