The Best Waterproof Hiking Boots

I bought these to replace a pair of old Merrell boots that the sole kept coming away from the upper. To be fair they were at least 5 years old and were used almost daily. I had difficulty finding a boot that had a rugged grip and sole and was covered in rubber to where the lacing starts. This was important because my walks often take me through stream beds. These North face boots have these characteristics and are superbly warm and comfortable. The lacing system has been well designed as the eyes are metal and not fabric (which break). Note that these boots are heavy and may not be the best choice for a long day of hiking.

Great Boot! Buy 1 size up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boot for snow, ice and any winter condition. Laces are strong. Had them in negative temps through 30F and feet felt great. I wear a 10.5 and ended up in an 11.5. Save time and buy a full size bigger for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for a trip to Colorado to Winter Park. They were perfect for walking and playing in the snow. We went sledding and tubbing and these boots kept my feet very warm and dry and gave me a lot of support as well.

Solid and dependable...so far

So far a solid boot and comfortable. I wear a regular shoe in size 12 and ordered the same. No fitting issues. Haven't had the opportunity to see how it handles in freezing conditions yet.
