The North Face Men's Hedgehog Mid Futurelight Hiking Shoes

I purchased these shoes for some short overnight hikes. I broke them in doing day-to-day tasks and then hit the trail. Almost immediately I started to suffer from pain in my heel that I thought was plantar fasciitis caused by a lack of stretching or the first hike of the season... The pain returned on my second trek in these shoes - and a good thing I brought a second pair of runners to get me off the mountain! It has taken me a year to recover from this injury through physio and daily stretching. After all that I tried wearing these shoes to gut the grass and the heel pain returned almost immediately. There is something seriously wrong with these shoes. I do not recommend.
