Purposeful weak engineering and design

Had them for 2 months and there is hole already on the heel. North Face has engineered stitching purposefully on the heel where it can rub making it weaker instead of designing a solid piece of fabric . For 245$ shoes this is a joke, Nike does not design it in this way where there is stitching right on the heel instead it’s a solid piece of fabric. I bought hedge hog hiking boots from North Face I got a hole in their heel as well and they were designed the same, Nike does not design shoes this way , that’s why they last longer. North Face advertise has “outdoor durability” but a shoe can’t even handle simple walks on flat ground for two months
