I originally bought this vest for my 14 year old son, but he didn't like the look. My husband however loves the vest and wears it regularly. It's a relaxed fit and is comfortable under shirts and hoodies. He's 5'10" 165 and the size medium vest fits and looks great.

A warm and versatile fleece vest

Very light and warm. Perfect for layering. It's easy for me to sweat so I usually wear a vest (synthetic or fleece) plus a shell. In addition, the collar is a huge plus from my perspective - I can turn up the collar when it's cold (I was wearing this vest inside my Carhartt soft shell jacket without any problem when it was negative 4 degrees Fahrenheit in January 2026), and I can turn it down when I am indoors. Highly recommended. Due to North Face tends to discontinue some merchandise after a certain period of time, I got 4 vests in total while I can (took advantage of the 25% off during the XPLR PASS sale).

This vest is perfect for more than just hiking. I use it on the golf course as well and it allows me to swing my golf club easily without the cumbersomeness of sleeves. Keeps me the perfect temperature even on pretty cold days. Highly recommend this vest.
