Didn’t keep me dry for one hour in rain

It’s not waterproof in rain for even An hour. I went for a city walk and the stuff in my pockets was wet within 45 mins. Wouldn’t have gone for the walk had it been torrential. So it looks nice and it’s light but it’s not suitable as a rain jacket purchase…

Nice jacket, feels a bit oversized. I normally wear a small but an XS fit best. I haven't tried it in the rain yet, but the fabric is light and I like the colour.

Keeps you dry for West Coast rain

This is a beautiful jacket and it resisted a heavy rainfall. I received the jacket just in time for Vancouver's heavy rainfall this past weekend. I was outdoors at Stanley Park for over 2 hours and my body inside the jacket remained dry during a heavy downpour. The jacket is a beautiful color, vibrant and feminine. I usually wear a medium/8 in street clothes but these jackets fit fight around the chest so I went up to Large. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fit. I'm 5'0 feet tall so the jacket sits a little long and loose on me due to sizing up.

Not waterproof

I am a big fan of Northface and own many products of them, so, I was really surprised to find out that this jacket is NOT WATERPROOF! I took a simple city walk yesterday under the rain, which was nothing heavy, and my cellphone got all wet (I had placed it in the inner pocket) and my clothes were damp. I am so upset! I don't recommend this jacket.

Super disappointed

I bought this jacket a couple weeks ago because I needed a lightweight rain shell. I regret my purchase though because it's not breathable at all, like AT ALL. Even with the pit zips open. It bottles in the heat and sometimes I am dripping sweat when I take it off. It also bunches weirdly at the front when I bend over. This was my first time buying North Face and I was excited to finally spend the money on a good quality shell. I will say, it seems like a durable jacket, but I am super disappointed. Not sure what I'm going to do because I obviously can't return it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
