Sport Chek sent me the wrong item, took it back, a

I ordered a women’s The North Face jacket for $112 from Sport Chek.
What I actually received? A men’s Adidas T-shirt.
I contacted customer service right away, and they told me to return it, which I did. Their warehouse confirmed they received my return on January 27.
First, I was told I would receive a refund within one week. Then it became three weeks. After that, I was told to wait 45 business days.
After waiting a full 8 weeks, on March 24, they completely changed their story. They claimed the T-shirt I returned is “not in their database” and therefore not something they sent. According to them, their system shows the correct item was delivered.
Since I didn’t record myself opening the package, they said I have no proof and refused to refund me. Instead, they told me to file a police report.
So basically:
• They sent the wrong item
• Asked me to return it
• Confirmed they received it
• Made me wait 8 weeks
• Then denied everything
Now I have no jacket, no T-shirt, and no refund.
And here’s the part that makes zero sense: if they truly believe the T-shirt isn’t theirs, why not send it back to me? I paid for something. I don’t even have the wrong item anymore.
This experience feels less like a mistake and more like a system designed to avoid taking responsibility.
Be very careful ordering online — if anything goes wrong, you may be on your own.

Nice jacket, Nice fit!

Love this jacket- fits perfectly!! I read other reviews stating that the shoulder area was narrow- I have broad shoulders and did not find it narrow at all. I bought the XL and am normally an XL and found this jacket true to size.
