Therm-a-Rest Neoair Venture Sleeping Mat

Great weight/ pack size. not flimsy. Not noisy like some of the competition. Inflation sack is actually faster than the oldskool thermarests, once you get the hang of it -even more so if you have a sideways breeze running. For my back, the neo air design is not too far off, but slightly less comfy than the old school self inflating thermarests. But totally worth it for the weight/size advantage.

Inexpensive for what it is, R1.8 is definitely summer but could be used for spring in some regions. Used this in 2C Deg for a few nights, I wasn't cold, but definitely cooler to the touch versus my coupled NeoAir All Season (R4.9). Packs well, and light enough to carry easily.

I purchased the Neoair Venture mattress for a 4 day hike through the White Mountains, and it worked great. I'm a side sleeper and never felt any part of my body digging into the ground. I should mention that I'm only 5' 6"" and 142 lbs. This mattress is a great bargain. You can find something that's lighter and warmer, but you'll pay a lot more. Some of the other mattress's I looked at made an awfully loud crinkling noise when you move around on them. The Neoair Venture is much quieter. I was also very happy with the pack size. The weather only just got down to the upper 40's so I can't really speak to how warm the mattress is, but I had no issues at high 40's. I attached a photo that shows the Neoair Venture in it's bag next to a Nalgene bottle for comparison. All in all, this is a comfortable mattress, lightweight, small pack size, with a great price. It's also made in the USA; can't go wrong with that.

I bought this over one year ago, and spent every night for 10 month on it. Great tough, comfortable, air mat. Still use it every time I go camping, very little signs of wear, compact and light when packed up for such a strong matteress.

Works great for sleeping on the ground or a pad for a cot.. easy to pack

I bought this since two years now and can truly say that I really love it ! Lightweight and easy to pack! Always in my back pack ;)

I have one of the earliest Neo airs and now the Venture and these sleeping pads are amazing. The downside of blowing them up is well worth it for a great night of sleep. My wife is somewhat picky about camping and we went on a short backpacking trip and she used the venture and loved it. At this price range I imagine it would be hard to find a sleeping pad that is this as comfortable and light as the Venture.
