Product Details

As the original inventor of the self-inflating sleeping pad, Therm-A-Rest has mastered the art of crafting these high-performance pads for camping and backpacking. The Women's ProLite offers adventurers the lightest and most compact self-inflating option on the market. The pad boasts a R-value, offering added warmth and a shorter length as an option for women or cold sleepers. The lightweight self-inflating pad features the high-performance WingLock valve, which has three-times the airflow rate of the classic valve thanks to a larger opening and one-way inflation. Like all Therm-a-Rest pads, the Women's ProLite is made in market to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The pad includes a compact stuff sack.

  • Women's Version: Designed in a smaller size with a higher R-value for cold sleepers

  • Lightweight: The lightest self-inflating mattress available

  • Efficient Warmth: Diagonal-cut channels in the foam reduce bulk and retain heat better than straight-cut foam

  • Highly Packable: Ultralight, diagonal-cut foam and a tapered shape keep the ProLite mattress extremely pack friendly

  • Self-Inflating: Expanding foam core self-inflates; top off with just a few breaths for personalized firmness

  • WingLock™ Valve: Our intuitive and dependable valve maximizes air flow for easier inflation and quicker deflation

  • Stuff sack included

  • Built of the Finest U.S. and Global Materials

  • Wings toggle for one-way inflation to save breath

Asleep in seconds! Light and very comfortable!

Adopted a pitty puppy Very cute Didn't have any supplies - adopted too soon Grace was at my house?? Helping train new dog (insisting on helping actually) Took dog to old warehouse Kelly and Andy - rappelling using weirds wall mounted wall anchor at the word restaurant ******************** These were the dream notes I typed out, half asleep early this morning, after accidentally falling asleep while testing this sleeping pad on my hardwood floor (still fully clothed and with the lights on). I'm upgrading from a self-inflating therm-a-rest from the early 90s (these things last forever). I wanted something lighter, but was worried a lighter pad would mean sacrificing comfort -- I sure was wrong! You want a light sleeping pad AND a good night's rest? Get this one.

I purchased my Prolite 4 Reg Women´s (as it was called then) back in 2005 (!) and it has served me well during all these years. Never any problem with leakage, punctures or anything. Even though it is heavier and bulkier than many of the air mattresses available today, I love the sturdiness (I am less concerned about it getting punctures and have even used it directly on the ground), the lack of noice, and how it actually self-inflates - no need to blow my lungs out or use a pump sack. It just rolls out and in a couple of minutes it is ready. I have used mine on long winter trips in Alaska (together with a Z-Lite), at Svalbard, and in the mountains of Norway all seasons. Sadly, last week I forgot it outside in our yard after drying it in the sun, and during the night our robot mower went over it, creating several long cuts up in the valve area and at the bottom. I have tried to fix it but it was beyond repair. Nearly 15 years of heavy use and so many memories connected to it, I am not mentally capable of throwing it yet.

I am hiking the Appalachian trail and it makes my nights very comfortable. I have always used a Z rest and made the change for this trip. It is a little bulkier but worth it. I am only rolling it and not keeping it in the bag provided which you need to fold in half and then roll.

I'm using it for about five years now. No Problems, everything fine. Because of the shape and the length I use an older rectangular one, if its going to be colder than 5° C.

Comfy and well-insulating, compact and relatively light. So happy it doesn't leak. Came back to Thermarest after a brief attempt using another brand of sleeping pad which did not end well. Sorry I ever left! This is my 3rd Thermarest pad; the first two provided a collective 15 years of good sleep outdoors. Looking forward to many more with my new pad. Non-rectangular shape takes a little more finesse when rolling up. Also, if stuff sack had a strap on the bottom that would help me pull the pad out of the bag easier!

If there is one thing I will not compromise on; it's gear that will give me a good nights rest. After expending an exuberant number of calories and lugging a monster pack up a mountain, I look forward to a warm comfortable sleep. I purchased the women's Prolite Plus (an earlier make of it) back in 2011. This was my first real backpacking mattress. Compared to what I was trying to sleep on prior, this changed everything for me. Until this point I thought it was impossible to get a good sleep when camping. Warm, soft, cozy, it's easy to drift off on this mattress. In addition to providing a comfortable sleep, the ProLite Plus is light and rolls up to a small size. I fit mine right inside my backpack. It's also completely durable, it took me 5 years of regular use before I managed to puncture it. I definately recommend this product to anyone looking for a good sleep while Backpacking. I've spent many nights on this mattress, places including the West Coast Trail, Nootka Island, Juan de Fuca trail, Skaftefall Park Iceland, Garibaldi Park, Strathcona Park, to name a few. I only recently switched to the NeoAir XTherm, because these days I do more trekking on snow then solid ground. I did find I was getting chilly at night while trying to sleep on snow using the Prolite Plus, perhaps pushing this piece of gear to its limits. If snow is more your thing I would really recommend going for the NeoAir XTherm.
