Thule Sapling Child Carrier

We just started putting our 7 month old in the Sapling and he really enjoys it! The pack is extremely light, has lots of storage, and is quite comfortable with all of the custom adjustments (not just straps, you can adjust the height on the back panel). There are a couple quirks as the sun cover is difficult to store in the back pocket, and the side clip where you slide in the cover needs to be broken in, but other then that its a great pack.

Bought this for our first backpacking trip with baby. He’s 6.5 months so perfect to start using this. I like how it’s adjustable for mom and dad. Not a great amount of storage but we made it work. Would love if the additional pack and rain cover came with the carrier as it’s pricey!

We’ve used this carrier on multiple hikes now and it’s exceeded all expectations. The build quality is excellent — super sturdy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The adjustable fit for both parents is a huge plus, especially when switching between users of different sizes. Our child is secure and comfortable, often even falls asleep in it, which says a lot! The storage compartments are surprisingly spacious, making it easy to pack snacks, diapers, and other essentials without needing an extra bag. I also appreciate the built-in sunshade, which provides great protection and peace of mind on sunny days. Overall, this carrier has made family outings so much more enjoyable. If you’re an active family, this is absolutely worth the investment!

We love this carrier so much we just bought a second one to hike with our 8 month old and 2 year old. It’s so easy to adjust the straps and packs to fit my husband or myself. The adjustable hip belt has huge pockets to safely store keys and phones. I can easily reach the back main compartment without having to take the pack off! Our favourite part is the seat which scoops under the kiddos bum so their legs aren’t dangling straight down. It feels secure and supportive on hikes, and we love the rain cover for both rain and cold winter days. Parent and kiddo approved! 10/10
