    These cleats are not it.

They are so tight, awful design, UA needs to do better.

No, I do not recommend this product.

With one or two tweaks to this recipe, UA could have a real winner on their hands. I haven't tried on the new version of this cleat, but based on photos and description, everything I have to say about this version will hold true to the updated one (it really just looks like the upper and collar were changed). To start with what I like: - The upper is pliable and provides good containment. - The soleplate provides aggressive traction for both straight line speed and change of direction. The stud layout is one of my favorites from the many football cleats I have worn in the past 10 years. - Good lockdown in the heel. I didn't notice any slipping or rubbing on the achilles. Now onto the things holding this cleat back: - I would be pleased with the HOVR midsole if it weren't for two glaring issues in my opinion. Those being: 1. The midsole is drop-in, and you're sitting right on top of it when you have the cleats on. It's a substantial amount of foam. Due to these facts, the midsole bottoms out with all the cutting one does. This changes the internal volume of the cleats once the foam compresses, ultimately making the fit a bit sloppier. 2. Continuing with the topic of the midsole, and the most frustrating aspect of the cleat... There is a lump of the midsole that fits into a transparent window under your heel, so that you can see it says HOVR through the soleplate. In concept... sure, I suppose companies should advertise the tech they incorporate in their products. In execution, it feels like no forethought went in to how this performs as a piece of athletic equipment. Because the midsole compresses so much, it ends up tearing where this lump connects to the rest of the midsole. And without even lasting a training season, these proprietary midsoles that you can't get replacements of have both thinned out and torn right underneath my heel, all so that people can know my cleats have HOVR in them... except nobody is realistically ever going to see that window on the soleplate unless they're holding the cleats and inspecting them. - A pull tab at the top of the foot to go along with the one on the heel would be a welcome addition, but it's not a deal breaker. At the end of the day, it feels like these cleats are suffering a bit of an identity crisis. On one hand, the sole plate is snappy and responsive, which compliments the aggressive stud pattern nicely. But on the other hand, the plushness of the midsole completely undoes the responsive and fast sensation. It honestly feels like pushing off in wet sand sometimes. UA should either go all in on comfort and soften up the sole plate to match the softness of the midsole (which I don't think is in line with the description of the product), or reduce the amount of foam so that we can actually appreciate the springiness of the soleplate (maybe even nix the drop-in midsole altogether and go for a simple insole). Either way, Under Armour, please get rid of that lump in the misdole for the "vanity window" in the soleplate.

Hi there! Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful feedback -- we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’d love to follow up and learn more, so we’ll be reaching out to you via email shortly.

    Slick nice cleat

Although this cleat is slick and great looking, my son found it hard to get his foot in as it has added cushioning around the top of the heel causing the opening to become too narrow and difficult to get his foot in. We bought the Blur Suede Pro ones before these ones and they were great!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi, Julian! Love to hear the look of our shoes was a touchdown, but sounds like the sizing was a bit of a fumble for you. We're sorry about that and this isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd love another shot at getting you into something that works better. Please look for an email from me with more details.

    Comfortable cleat

Comfortable cleat with inner cushioning. Requires some time to break in as upper material is stiff.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

These cleats are so narrow that it is impossible to get your foot into them. I wear a womans nine and could not fit in a mens ten. Poor job UA. Also this review will not let me use apostrophes or numbers.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi, Emily! A shoe you can't even put on? That's not the vibe and we're sorry that happened. We understand the frustration and disappointment and it's not the experience we want you to have. If you're open to it, we're sure we can find something else that would work better, like perhaps our UA Blur Pro x Mansory cleats, which don't feature a collar and may be easier to put on. Stay tuned for an email from me so we can get you into gear you'll love!
