The Old Skool H2O Solid Backpack is a 100% polyester backpack featuring one large main compartment with a laptop sleeve (fits most 15'' laptops), a front zip pocket with an organizer for quick access, and straight-cut padded shoulder straps. In order to reduce the overall footprint of Vans, our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. Big or small, all of our efforts add up to positive change. VR3 is the Vans commitment to sourcing 100% of our top 4 CO2 impact materials (cotton, leather, rubber and polyester) from Regenerative, Responsibly Sourced Renewable, and/or Recycled sources by 2030.

Textiles: minimum 40% of one or more (by weight, excluding trims) of the following: Regenerative, Organic, Recycled, or Responsibly sourced Renewable materials.
Wool: Certified non-mulesed; blends must be greater than 30% total ROR (Recycled Organic Renewable)
Capacity: 22-liter capacity.

Wouldn't buy again

This back pack is nice and the zippers move nicely, but the small pocket zipper broke about halfway into the school year. We bought it a second time for the following year hoping that was just a fluke, but it also hasn't lasted the new school year and is broken. Same small pocket zipper. Love the backpack otherwise

Excellent backpack for high school senior

My 17 year old grand-daughter asked for this particular backpack for her last year in high school. I thought it was reasonably priced so I purchased it. She loves it and uses it everyday. It seems very durable, so we hope it last the full school year and even beyond. The grey color is very nice, too.

Doesn't hold enough for a 6th grader.

Bought this for my son who just started 6th grade. 2nd week of school and we had to replace it with a larger backpack because this one was too small to hold the basics: a Chromebook, 1 binder, 4 spiral notebooks, a pencil case, lunch, and water bottle. It is just not deep enough, only about 6". They haven't even gotten text books yet. And if it is completely full, forget trying to get the water bottle in because it is designed to use the space inside the bag as well. Looks good, but non-functional.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It's a nice backpack but the water bottle pockets are small

I use the backpack for school and I thinks it's really nice and matches with most outfits but the water bottle pockets are small with 2 water bottles my binder barely enters. I say buy it if you don't use both water bottle pockets but I do so it bothers me:)
