Vasque Men's Breeze Waterproof Mesh Hiking Shoes

I’ve had these boots for about a year and a half and they’ve performed great. I had the Breeze 3 gtx before these and this is the closest they’ve come to those. Although they don’t use Gore-Tex or Vibram soles anymore, their proprietary materials are still just as dry, grippy, comfortable, and warm in my opinion. No major tread wear either. In fact I think the soles are lasting longer than Vibram’s so far. I don’t know why there’s so many bad reviews on these. I wear these almost daily for work out in the field and I also use them for hiking on rocky and rooty terrain and they’ve performed excellent. The only thing is that I had to take the laces from my old Breeze 3’s because the paracord ones these came with will slip and untie a lot. Other than that, these are great boots. Don’t be led astray by the negative reviews. Thanks Vasque!

Bought the breeze to hike and wear around as a do it all boot. It fits great I love how light it is for everyday use!

I really like my new Vasque Breeze boots, I been exclusively been wearing Vasque shoes for over two years. Only complaint about my new boots is that the shoe laces could be longer, I like to double tie my shoes.

I tried on several boots and these boots fit the best and are very comfortable. They have excellent grip on rocks and have hike many miles with them. My only complaint is they don't stay waterproof for very long. Even snow melting on them will seep in.

I have a pair of the original Breezes (before they changed the platform and other features) and a pair I bought more recently. I wear them or the other pair most days. I don't know why they discontinued the old style, I would even pay a little more to get the old style Breeze. I like that the Breeze platform is almost level (rather than the heel being elevated) and the soles have good resilience. The soles on the old Breeze had exceptional traction in the snow. The new Breeze has good traction but I wouldn't call it exceptional. The new Breeze is not nearly as waterproof! Are they trying out a new membrane using material with no PFA's? If not, there's no excuse. The top cleat is too high on the old style, even if I double knot the laces the knot slips off the boot on to my ankle and goes slack often. This is very annoying with gators on. I don't recall the knot slipping off the shoe on the new ones but the laces are even more round and fat, and do their best to come untied even when double knotted. Complaints aside I've put many miles on these boots, winter and summer; they've never given me blisters, and they will never sit in my closet gathering dust!

The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is they Vasque got rid of the Vibram sole which had superior traction in snowy icy conditions. They are very comfortable and light just wish they had the Vibram sole of the previous model.

When the I originally bought a pair of Breezes 4 years ago I loved them so much, that when I can back from my 2 week hike I went out and bought a second pair to keep that continuity going. Since then both pairs served me well. I bought these and so incredibly disappointed that I returned them after one walk around the the block. Everything is cheaper. The fit is off. It's just a bad shoe. I'm writing this review in hopes they will improve their product so I can come back.

I have wore the Breeze shoe now for the 15 years. I had just purchased my last ones a little over a month ago and I can`t wear them. I wear them everyday for work on concrete and by the end of the day my feet are very sore. When you stop making them with the Vibram soles, they are not the same.
