Uneven cut and cannon be used because the groves don't match. One skate guard works ok. The other either falls off, too loose or too tight and can't put the skate in.

Light plastic skate guards

I was wanting to replace my skate guards so chose the recommended ones from here. They don’t fit as tightly as I would like. They are also not as solid or thick as I wanted. They do not stay on the blade properly.

These skate guards work well, but the sling that holds the skate to the guard is quite solid and not very flexible. It takes more effort to attach to the guard to the skate blade than models with a stretchy rubber strap.
