Thinking outside the 'ball'

Indoor/Outdoor composite ball serves it purpose. I am using this basketball as a tool for keeping my hands from becoming arthritic. I used to play alot of basketball as a young woman so I find that those dexterity skills are extremely useful for movement.

I bought this 2 years ago and the grip stays! It’s an amazing ball for outdoor and indoor! Make sure you have a pump handy in cold weather! GREAT PRODUCT BUY IT!!

Choose wisely, set expecations appropriately

Set your expectations appropriately. If used indoors or casually playing outdoors it's great. If your training hard or playing competitively outdoors a lot, the balls composite leather will break down as a result of the rough playground surface. Indoors it lasts for years. Outdoors my son gets less than one complete summer before it breaks down and no longer has a grip. The outdoor life expectancy is similar to other indoor/outdoor balls.

Solid ball. I think you should use this if you want a Wilson ball specifically for outdoors. For indoor Wilson, you're better off with either Evolution or NCAA Official.
