Different model than the earlier versions

This is my second pair of the same size and model. I tore my first pair. No fault of the pants but just a hazard of what I do.
Note the newer versions are different from my previous pair.
There is now a zipper along the outside of the legs. You could say this is added value or unnecessary and added bulk depending on your outlook.
The pant cuff seems a bit narrow. I have to open the zipper two inches to provide extra width so the pants will go over my boots. Otherwise the rain will run onto the upper part of my boot.
The sizing seems to be about a half a size bigger.
All in all these are the best value pants. They have a very soft silky outside texture which keeps it quieter than other brands and of course the best part of it is it is membrane-based waterproofing and not surface treatment.
When on sale these are the best value. Even when they're not on sale they are really good value it's just that I know I will wear through these so I will only buy them on sale.
