YETI Daytrip® 5L Lunch Box

Let me start fresh, because the Yeti 5-Litre Lunch Box deserves a review untainted by earlier drafts, logic, or the laws of thermodynamics. Arctic Adventures (a.k.a. “Please Don’t Freeze My Beer”) I recently took this little tank of a lunch box up to the Canadian Arctic, where the air is so cold it hurts your feelings. I expected my beer to freeze solid, expand, explode, or achieve some new state of matter not yet approved by science. But no. The Yeti kept it perfectly cold—not frozen. Somehow it found the sweet spot between crispy-refreshing and break-your-teeth solid. Honestly, the Yeti was doing a better job regulating temperature than the thermostat in my home. The Hottest Environment on Earth: My Office Then I brought it to the polar opposite environment: my office building, which is apparently trying to become the world’s first indoor tropical biome because some absolute w*nker refuses to turn down the heat. It’s so hot in there I’m pretty sure my stapler started sweating. Left on my desk, the Yeti STILL kept my beer cold—not warm, not lukewarm, not “office hot”—just cold. At this point, I’m convinced the Yeti runs on a combination of witchcraft and petty determination. Surviving the Toddler Test™ Now, if you have a toddler, you know they were born with the soul of a demolition expert. Mine threw the Yeti across the room like it was auditioning for the Olympics. The Yeti? Didn’t. Even. Blink. The lunch box handled it better than I did. No dents. No broken zipper. No emotional damage (unlike me). One Complaint: WHERE IS FOREST GREEN? The only flaw—and I mean the ONLY flaw—is that it doesn’t come in forest green. Why, Yeti? Why can I buy colors like “charcoal,” “navy,” and “I’m-trying-my-best tan,” but not forest green? Is forest green too powerful? Too sexy? Too natural? Give me answers. Verdict The Yeti 5-Litre Lunch Box: Keeps beer cold in the Arctic Keeps beer cold in my office-turned-volcano Survives toddler warfare Mysteriously avoids being offered in the BEST color 5/5. Would recommend. Would survive a toddler. Would buy again—in forest green, if they ever get their act together.

Amazing, fits everything and keeps it cold! My ice packs is still frozen at the end of the day and everything in it is safe from being crushed

This is a great lunch box. It keeps my lunch very cold & fresh and it is easy to clean.

Love it! Been looking for a substantial size lunch box; in terms of capacity and durability, this hit the mark! It also looks very cool which is a big bonus.

Used a large Yeti Ice Sheet with no extra ice, and kept 4 tall cans cools for hours under 30 plus celsius sun. It worked better than I expected. If this is water proof, I would definitely bring it to every water based sporting event.

Perfect for my husband when he's on the golf course and wants to carry a half dozen drinks (beer, water, pop) and a snack. Keeps everything super chilled with just one small ice pack inside.

The cooler holds about 4 Monster Energy drinks, disappointed that it doesn’t keep my Yeti ice pack from thawing out in about 3 hours. Figured it would have better insulation. Fit and finish are nice, suits what I’m using it for as a motorcycle drink holder.
