Great for long travels, if you are looking for something to keep you hydrated during the day this is it.

I’ve used this in September in SC all day (25-30*C) at the beach… kept my dog’s water cool the entire time, had to put less ice inside bc it wasn’t melting!

This is very useful for my purpose - prepping a cold drink which stays cold for long (Powder Gatorade etc). Liquids have kept cold for a long time - ice generally melts once I replenish it with new liquids. So far, the water did not have a chance to warm up (I like my liquids cold). I have yet to use it for hot liquids but I can see how a group coffee/hot chocolate session can be good as you camp. The product is very solid but you still want to handle it with care - if you drop this, your floor could get damaged etc. Need to make sure you screw on the lid properly to be leakproof. Good for a longer car ride with a family of 4. It is a convenience item, for specific purposes, and does work well and also looks great.

Got this 1/2 gallon version to make sure I keep up with daily water intake. Did not want a plastic bottle. The construction is solid on this jug. The ability to keep temperature steady is really terrific.
