Stores my EDC gear perfectly.
But…The strap is too short!! I would be first in line to purchase a newly designed bag with a strap that’s 7 to 10 inches longer. It’s comfortable to wear as a fanny pack but I got it for the crossbody aspect. It sits just under my armpit, rubs, and moves around. If it were longer it would be out of the way and stay put.
As is I still take it with me everywhere.
I will however keep my eyes open for the new and improved version with a longer strap.
And I won’t complain if YETI decides it was their design flaw and sends me a new one free.

4L is a good size for everyday running around. Wallet, keys, phone… it’s not too big at all and I have the 1L as well which is on the small side for daily use. The magnet is quite strong and I like it rather than a zipper. Some people said the strap was too short, it’s not for me but I’m thin and tall. I could see if you were a bigger person it would be too tight. I’m 5’8 and 140lb and I have it as long as it goes and it’s perfect for me (crossbody) but I do recommend. It’s a nice bag, good features inside. Pockets and a zipper pocket.

Strap was too short

I love the bag… however the strap was too short… I ended up purchasing one of the yeti side kick straps and cut it down to fab up an extension… I am 5’10” and about 255 pounds… now I can comfortably wear the bag across my body

I have the Ranchero Crossbody Sling bag in the 1L in the colour Dusk and the 4L in Pampa Light Green and I love them both! using a magnet keep your cross bag instead of a zipper is so nice and convenient, it makes everything easy if you to get things out of the cross bag if your hands full! And the magnet is very strong and stays closed, nothing should fall out of cross bag. This is the only cross bag I use now for everyday use/ adventure time! Thanks yeti!

Very Sturdy, well made crossbody purse. I love the strong magnetic closure. I originally bought it in the 1L in the Red which is OK for “quick trips” or where I don’t need to have an “entire purse”. I really like the Olive 4L much better! I can use it for an “everyday purse” because it holds A LOT! The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the short strap that everyone keeps mentioning in other reviews. It is short! I did find a solution that works, however. I bought the olive colored click strap (it will snap together with the crossbody snap) and the color matches seamlessly. However, I wasn’t happy about paying the extra money after paying the higher price that Yeti is asking for the crossbody in the first place! They really should have factored in their design process that all sized and proportioned people use their products, not just skinny smaller people.
