YETI Roadie® 15 Hard Cooler

I bought this cooler for portability on fishing and hunting trips in my side-by-side. Although there is a noticeable difference in how long it keeps ice, it is worthwhile noting that the cooler is open and closed constantly. Overall, the shoulder strap is rugged and the cooler itself is as expected a yeti would be.

My husband and a friend took their boat out lobstering one evening. While they were out, a rogue swell rolled through and a rope from someone else’s lobster trap got tangled in their motor. As they tried to free it, another big swell came through—one after another. The first wave nearly tipped the boat. When they saw the next one coming right behind it, they made the split-second decision to jump. Thankfully they did, because the boat capsized. They had to swim fully clothed to the jetty wearing heavy wader boots, with wallets and phones still in their pockets. These are two very strong, capable swimmers, but the weight of the waterlogged clothes and boots made every stroke a struggle. By the time they reached the jetty, their legs were so heavy they could barely lift themselves. Somehow they managed to pull themselves up and climb the rocks. They both admitted later that they genuinely feared for their lives. The boat—and everything on it—sank and is now somewhere on the ocean floor. The next day they went back to the shoreline hoping maybe something had washed up. The only thing they found was their YETI Roadie 15. It was beat up and covered in scratches from the rocks, but otherwise perfectly fine and still working like nothing happened. Now we call it the Jetty Yeti, and it’s got quite a story. Safe to say this cooler is absolutely built for the wild!

Great little cooler. Well built, drainage plug is a nice option. Got the clear plastic storage rack as an accessory, fits very nice. Plus this colour is my favourite.

The perfect little cooler. I got this as a gift for my fiancé for Christmas and he loves it! It will be perfect for small get togethers or days on the river.

The Roadie 15 is the perfect size for what we wanted: road trips and beach days. Lunch, snacks, and drinks for two in an easy-to-carry package that fits behind the front seat. I was considering the Roadie 24, but it's more than we need.
