ASICS Men's Gel-Kayano 27 Breathable Mesh Running Shoes

Nice shoe. Colour is nice. I use them for everyday walking shoes

I bought these shoes in June of this year and started using them in July. They were very nice and light and I thought I bought a nice pair of shoes. I am an old fellow and only walk about 6 km two to three times a week. As the shoes became a bit worn, I started developing blister on the back of my heel. I contacted ASICS and they immediately sent me an email saying this was a fit problem and explained to me how to buy shoes. Since the shoes were essentially useless to me, I cut open the cloth where the blisters were forming. I found a "knot" on the seam at the back, where the sewing overlapped and was not straight. I sent photos of what I thought was a manufacturing defect. ASICS insisted this was a fit problem and they were not responsible and would not stand behind the product. This was the first and last pair of ASICS that I will ever purchase.

I will never purchase another pair of Asics. I'm a 70 year old pensioner that thought he was buying a quality pair of running shoes to walk the dog. I wore the shoes "maybe" 30/40 times to walk the dog. Today I looked down and I saw a hole appearing in the mesh covering the toe on my left foot. No hole in my sock and my toenails are normal length. The shoes were never abused.

The reviews I read said the Kayano 27 were narrower than previous models. My last pair was Kayano 27 Extra Wide (4E) which were good for a little over a year and ~1600km (85% brisk walking, 15% running). This pair which is 2E/regular width, I ordered a half size larger and so far, it's just as comfortable. I used to alternate between New Balance (stability control models), Asics GT 2000, and Asics Kayano but for the last decade or so, I have settled on just Kayanos. Let's see how long this pair lasts before a hole develops in the toe area. Fingers crossed.

These always fit well. I buy this brand and style every time I need a new pair. This pair squeaks a bit when I walk though.

The shoes came in the open ascis box very disappointed. Also it said it was delivered for which I raised the ticket. Then the show was delivery at 7 pm open box!
