    I returned this item. It was very comfortable and cushiony but felt much smaller in the tox box area even though I went up a 1/2 size and went with a wide shoe.

    They've changed the Kayano...yes it's lighter but there's also less support. The ones from 5 years ago felt like they held our foot in better. We have flat feet so we need that so our ankles stay upward. These are like slippers. Comment on the staff at Sports Check. We went in asking if someone can guide us to a runner (besides this one) that has good support for flat feet. Not a single person knew. Back in the day if you sold shoes...you needed to know about ALL the brands and their purpose. The brand sponsors would come in and educate. Now we have a bunch of clueless kids pointing at shoes "Ummm I think these have good support". "Umm these are popular". I didn't ask which are popular and I don't want "I think". It's terrible.

    Great shoes with terrible quality soles

    I'm a heavy guy - 240 pounds. These shoes offer better support them any other shoe I've tried, and I've tried a lot! My last pair I had for a year and the cushion and support was still excellent. Now the downside. The tread was coming off the entire time I had them. Sometimes it would trip me up and is have to cut it off. That's why I bought the new pair. The tread on the new shoes started coming off SIX DAYS after buying them. I'd been walking mostly inside malls and stores. I'll never buy Asics again. The quality of the sole cement is apparently garbage.

    Heel felt hollow

    Comfortable except the heel,it waslike there was no support in the outer aspect of both shoes. When watched they could see the compression in the area described. Even thesales person wheni returned them said they felt very soft when he felt them.
