    I bought 3 pairs at the request of my husband, age 58. He teaches physical education and has plantar fasciitis, arthritis and is putting off a knee replacement. Asics isthe only brand he can comfortably wear.

    I've been buying the GT-1000 model for over 10 years. I've been very happy with them. I bought the first pair at a sporting goods store, but once I found that I liked them, I've been buying from the factory. I like them a lot, and they last a long time (I'm not a big runner, but I use them for aerobics, jogging, and ropes course.)

    I've run exclusively in every iteration of this shoe since it's introduction as the Excalibur GT in 1984 (Onitsuka Tiger). The fot and performace has alwsys been ex ellwnt, the last virtually unchanged over the years. This shoe is different. Heel width and height is wider, and the shoe is generally wider. The cushion has become softer. All leading to a change in feel. That being said, I'm still extremely pleased overall. And this is just my observation, we are all the "Experiment of One". Finally, thanks Asics for bringing back some COLOR...FLASH RED!
