Disappointing durability for running

Huge fan of ASICS shoes. I swear by them and recommend them to other runners. Unfortunately, the Gel-Cirrus shoes completely missed the mark. When I was purchasing them, I mistakenly assumed they were similar to the Gel Cumulus line because of the naming and pricing tier, so I purchased them with the intent of using them as a primary running shoe in rotation with an older pair of Novablast 5's.
Disappointingly, after only 100 km of running in the Gel Cirrus, the tread had already completely worn out and the shoes feel dead flat. This degree of wear was much sooner than I would expect from an ASICS running shoe in this price tier. In contrast, a pair of Gel Cumulus I previously owned lasted me approximately 450 km, which is about what I was expecting to get out of the Gel Cirrus given the price. My current pair of Novablast 5 is at the 500 km mark and still has at least another 200 km of bounce/tread left.
I've never left a negative review before but I felt it was important to share my experience with other runners. I can imagine these are decent for casual walking but in experience, they did not hold up as a running shoe. If you're an actual runner, I would avoid the Gel Cirrus.

Oddly cramped. I don't know what it is about Asics but they don't give your toes room like Saucony and they hurt the bottom/sides of my feet

Great running shoes, they are so easy to run or walk with. Lots of toe room for orthotics insoles. They run true to size. These are my second pair and they won’t be my last. ASICS has the best running, walking, hiking shoes available at a very reasonable price.
