Great shoe

Have bought Asics runners for years. I am an avid walker and find these are like walking on a cloud.
Never had to break them in. Confortable always.

Gel Pulse 16

Fantastic Shoes. I always end up back at Asics Gel Pulse shoes for walking. I've tried many fancier and more expensive shoes, but the Gel Pulse is always the shoe I gravitate back to.
As a walker, I find the thing I need the most in a shoes is one that is comfortable, doesn't rub my Achilles tendon and is stable underfoot.
I have found a lot of the more expensive running shoes have a lot of 'bounce' in them - great for running, not so much for walking (well for me anyway). I find those tend to sap the energy from my legs and leave me feeling like I'm walking on a surface that's unstable.
The Gel Pulse is perfect as it's a bit firmer under foot whilst still being ultra comfortable - and also has great support at the ankle and doesn't cause rubbing on my my Achilles.
I had a pair of Gel Pulse 15's that I wore the soles off, but I've just bought a pair of 16s and on my first walk out in them today they were comfortable straight out of the box - no issues at all, no rubbing, no need to 'break them in', just perfect straight out of the box.
So, in my opinion if you're looking for a great walking shoe I can't recommend the Gel Pulse 16s highly enough, they're brilliant

Wider fit great quality shoe

The great fit Ive come to expect from Asics. Fit true to size - my foot is wider than average. May be too wide for a narrow foot. The insole was not as cushy as the GT model so that surprised me. All in all, I can always depend on asics for great quality and style

Fit is not right

Bought it online so didn’t get a chance to try before I bought. When I wore it fits wasn’t so great. When lace is loose it feels like shoe is coming off from back and if I tighten the lace it feels too tight in the middle. If I could I would return it but I can’t since I wore it to work for a day.
