    These shoes got me through a two-week trek through Peru, including the Andes and of course Machu Picchu. Dry, wet, level, rocky and everything in between with a ton of life still left in them. Didn’t need anything else.

    I have a wide forefoot, so finding comfortable shoes is always a challenge. These were my first pair of Merrells, and I was nervous about ordering them online before a trip to Alaska, but they fit perfectly after a simple lace adjustment.     I think they are the most comfortable shoes I've owned. I put an insert in from another pair of Merrells that gave me more support, and that worked well. I think the height of the toe box is also a factor for comfort. The Gore-tex lining allows breathing. Just came back from a trip to Greece and wore them throughout my stay.
