Unparalleled Comfort

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I’ve tried others by Salomon (Sense Ride) which are also great. My pair of Thundercross reigns supreme as of right now. I’ve gone 30 days of every day wear before leaving this review. Highly recommend.

Gore Tex thundercross

I like this show a lot have goretex version and non goretex version. Super comfortable with a thicker hill for more cushion! Also, I like the shoe because it’s more lightweight as well. Will be buying this issue again and I do recommend it to anybody!

Shoe fit, comfort and support is great. Only suggestion would be to put a heel tab for easier put on.

Maximal Cush & Traction

Used these for Rim-to-Rim Grand Canyon and also Pfeifferhorn Peak in Utah. Excellent water, resistance and traction on all surfaces. They are wider in the toe box than other Salomon I’ve tried. Thundercross orked well for me very comfortable shoe that did not develop hotspots. Worried that they might be too hot, but that wasn’t an issue for me. Looking to grab a non-Gortex pair for dry conditions as it drops a few grams of weight. The shoe is not heavy even in the Gortex and I like it better than the Hoka Mafate 4 and the Merrill Agility Peak 5 for stability and toebox comfort. The durability is great so far with 50+ hard miles seeing no issues.

Sizing not great. Really disappointed.

Bought these in a size 9 as that's the size of my Salomon boots which fit perfectly. The Thundercross were way too small, and I bought them in the sale, so I was unable to return or exchange for the correct size. Really disappointed, as Salomon are a great brand, and I love all my other Salomon gear, but entirely my own fault for assuming that sizing would be consistent.
