Horrible strap design

The design of the “buckles” for the shoulder strap is ridiculously stupid! It is “open” without any manner to close it off to stay attached. One side of the strap randomly and invariably comes out of the loop, leaving only one side attached until you inconveniently have to stop everything to fix and reattach it. I wish I could get a refund for this poor product. I wish someone would have thought this through because a functional strap would have been nice.

Bought this for the 3L Daytrip snack bag. There are NO side loops for it to connect to. They say it’s compatible but it’s not.

Unbelievably poor design, there's no way they tested this thing. When I say it's a let down, I mean that it's literally going to drop your lunchbox on the ground when you pick it up. . . Or even while you're already carrying it. I think it's even fallen off just sitting in the passenger seat

Strap Only Stays On If You Use the Correct Loop

Folks saying the strap comes off too easily are clipping it to the wrong loop. Make sure you attach it to the tight strap loop, not the loose hitchpoint grid loop. If you use the loose one, it’ll pop off every time.

Doesn’t work

This is the only Yeti product I’ve been disappointed in, but it simply doesn’t work. The strap not securing to the bag is a huge flaw and the strap becomes disconnected easily. I wouldn’t recommend, it doesn’t work.

The clip needs to be redesigned

I bought this to use with my day trip 5L, and it’s not very good. The issue is that the way it clips to the cooler is with an s type hinge. When you reach for it in the car or pick it up the wrong way the strap falls out. I already dropped my cooler many times because of this. The strap itself is high quality but the connector was not well thought out.

Attach as designed!

I bought this 6 months ago. This strap is made to last. High quality materials and a comfortable feel to the shoulder . At first I had the same problem with the strap falling off as a lot of other buyers. First instinct is to hook the strap to the HitchPoint loops on the side of my Daytrip bag, however after a frustration driven second look I noticed the designated attachment loops just above the HitchPoint grid. I am happy with this purchase, maybe a bit embarrassed for overlooking this detail to start but happy nonetheless. I would recommend this to anyone and have since I bought it myself. Just remember to use the correct attachment loops and not the HitchPoint Grid!
