Comfortable, Supportive, and Great for Everyday We

I’ve owned several pairs of Salomon shoes over the years, and the X ULTRA 5 GORE-TEX has been a great addition. I don’t spend a ton of time on hiking trails, so for me the biggest thing is that they’re comfortable, supportive, and versatile enough for everyday wear. They feel very solid on my feet without being excessively heavy, and the grip is excellent, especially in wet weather. I also really like having the GORE-TEX protection when it’s raining or the ground is wet. They have a secure, supportive fit and feel like a shoe that’s built to last. Overall, a very comfortable and well-made shoe that works just as well for everyday use and walking as it does when I occasionally get out on a trail.

Definitely Deserves The Great Reputation

So far after several hikes of about 13 kms each, I am impressed. Last day out was in the rain. After four hours hiking, and 2 of those in the rain, my feet were dry. I like the hard plastic toe cap on the shoes, especially for rocky trails. Also, the shoes in general are very comfortable for my feet. Highly recommend trying these. I did, after reading numerous positive reviews about them.

Needed some durable shoes to walk through the woods with frequently. Feels like the last 10-15 years a lot of brands have gotten far worse in quality and still have increased their prices tremendously. These are a bit pricey but it feels good to actually get quality that you paid for.

I have hiked with X Ultra GTX for more than 6 years. They fit my arch and hold up well. I was concerned when the X Ultra 5 GTX replaced the previous version, but found these to be an improvement on a shoe that I already loved.

Bought them recently and am currently on my first trip to Alaska which s why I got them. They are truly great hiking shoes. Light, comfortable, boa laces are super convenient. Grip is aggressive and keeps me very sure footed.

Toe hard inner case will pin your toes on the downhill. Mid sole is tight around the toe knuckles. I've never had to do a wide version of a shoe but would recommend with this product. It might be your only chance. Not sure what Salomon is doing with their product lately but has been disappointed in last 2 purchases

I was ready to add a fresh pair to my collection since I have worn some of the shine off my older ones. Plus this gives me another color choice. I wear these to shop, casual occasions or church, but I'm ready for action if the need arises. I use my others for the trails, fishing and yard work. They are perfect for me. Comfortable, yet durable, and stylish.
